Course spotlight — CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT)
Our next CRT course is this October. Could it be right for you?
Established in 2006, CREST is a global community of Cyber Security businesses and professionals working to keep our information safe in the digital world. CREST serves over 400 member companies worldwide and has links to governments and Cyber Security regulators in every global region. One of their most sought-after certifications is the CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT).
Could this course help you meet your goals? Should you attempt it?
Let's take a closer look.
What is CREST CRT?
The CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT) is an intermediate-level certification that helps you refine your Penetration (Pen) Test skills using realistic threat techniques. The course takes you through the tools and frameworks that hackers use, carrying out attack and defense operations, detecting and assessing vulnerabilities, and more.
Who is CRT for?
CRT was designed for intermediate-level Cyber Security professionals who wish to consolidate their knowledge of Ethical Hacking and Security Testing—Cyber Security Specialists, Vulnerability Assessors, Penetration Testers, Consultants, and professionals in similar roles would greatly benefit from this course.
Due to the level of this course, before attending, you should have experience in conducting vulnerability assessments of Windows and Linux, as well as Networking, TCP, and Ethical Hacking; also, you should have achieved the CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA) certification.
You cannot sit the CRT exam without a valid CPSA, but you can still attend the training.
How long does CRT take?
At Firebrand, we specialise in accelerated courses. CREST CRT takes only 4 days.
